I switched the order of topics and kids seem to be succeeding (and feeling more positive) as we enter the review phase.

After attending this workshop, I was able to take back material to my classroom and immediately implemenAP US Historyt it.

I feel that I benefited greatly from this training and have gained a wealth of new strategies to use in my classroom.

I really enjoyed the collaborative and reciprocal learning between experienced and novice AP Teachers.

While I was a middle school principal, I observed the LDM Education Group Leadership design and implement professional development workshops for my Pre-AP English and Pre-AP math teachers. The workshops content knowledge and pedagogical skills, helped to Increase our underrepresented students access, preparation and performance in these lasses.

It was my pleasure to work with the LDM Education Group leaders to align Pre-AP content and pedagogy with the requirements of high school AP courses.

This workshop helped me to understand that using visual texts can help students with identifying tone. Pairing longer fiction text with nonfiction passages will allow students to help build context, and ultimately help to earn the point necessary for sophistication of writing.

I will incorporate more art and music in both small groups and whole classroom situations. Also I will create bridges for deeper cultural relevance by developing student voice through more choices of pieces. I will also utilize sentence stems to develop increased facility with analysis. Students will benefit by better engagement with pieces that have a connection to their own lives.

I learned to be careful choice in selecting AP prompts to use, not just as writing prompts, but as prompts for discussion. This can really help prepare my students for the test and perhaps they will approach it with more confidence.
