Overview:
Studies show that many students, especially within certain geographical locations and from certain socioeconomic backgrounds are at risk of losing a significant amount of learned knowledge over the summer. Why not eliminate this gap and create a summer learning program that is not only rigorous, but also fun and appealing for students. This workshop will focus on strategies to assist leaders in developing highly effective, exciting and engaging summer bridge programs to prepare students for AP® courses. We will focus on developing student leadership, writing and math skills, along with time management and Cornell Note Taking. Suggested summer reading will also be suggested during this workshop.

Learning Objectives:

Participants will:
• Learn to keep your students engaged and excited about learning over the summer
• Develop a successful summer bridge program
• Develop a model that reduces summer loss learning
