Overview:
Creating a strong and solid foundation for students to matriculate to higher levels and more challenging courses is important for their success. As an instructor of mathematics serving potential AP® students, we want to give you the tools and information necessary to support your learners as they continue their education journey. This one-day workshop will show teachers how to align their curriculum and instruction in order to facilitate access to higher levels of mathematics such as AP® courses. This workshop will focus on what teachers teach and how they teach it, as well as how they communicate and collaborate with each other.

Learning Objectives

Participants will:
● Become more familiar with some of the challenges and opportunities they face in the process of aligning their curriculum with Pre-AP® courses,
● Learn how to better collaborate with teachers using activities and discussions, and
● Learn collaborative methods in order to incorporate rigorous learning activities and strategies into their lessons.
